Who we are
David Pérez Sanz is a Spanish professional tennis player and coach, born on May 15, 1994, in Burgos, Spain. With over 16 years of experience on the professional tour and 8 years as a coach, he has carved out a successful and well-rounded career in the world of tennis.
Pérez Sanz achieved a career-high ATP singles ranking of World No. 216 in June 2016 and reached No. 158 in doubles in October 2018. He was also ranked No. 1 in the ITF World Tennis Singles Rankings, showcasing his dominance on the Futures circuit. Over his career, he has captured an impressive 72+ titles, including 19 singles and 49 doubles titles on the ITF Futures Tour, as well as 3 ATP Challenger doubles titles. He has also competed in Grand Slam qualifying rounds, marking his presence at the sport’s highest level.
As a junior, David was Spanish national champion in the Under-14, Under-16, and Under-18 categories, and was a doubles finalist at the Senior Spanish National Championship, where he narrowly lost to Rafael Nadal and Marc López in a close 6-7, 6-7 match.
Beyond his playing career, David has a strong track record as a coach, having worked with ATP and WTA players such as Mario González (ATP 680), Aleksi Lofman (ATP 1000), Gonzalo Oliveira (ATP 250), Justina Mikulskytė (WTA 240), and Dominik Palan (ATP 400). He has coached in Spain and Malta, providing both private instruction and tournament coaching for high-level youth and adult players.
